Perfect Label & Perfect Digital | Layout Templates

PDF Templates

PDF templates can be viewed using Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you plan to print the template, ensure that the “Fit to Page” option is unchecked in your printer settings; otherwise, the template may print smaller than the actual size.

Our PDF templates are designed to be imported into a variety of graphic design applications such as Adobe PageMaker, InDesign, Illustrator, CorelDRAW, QuarkXPress, and others. The template should be used as a visual background layer to help position and design your label artwork accurately.

To begin, import the PDF template into your graphics program and place it on a dedicated layer. Create all artwork—such as text, images, and logos—on new layers above the template. Before final printing, run a proof print to check the alignment between your artwork and the label positions. Once alignment is confirmed, disable printing for the template layer or remove it before producing the final output.

Word Templates

In some cases, Microsoft Word templates may appear as a blank page depending on your Word settings. To display the label layout, open the file, go to the Layout tab, and select View Gridlines. This will reveal the label boundaries so you can easily place your text and images.

Some A4 label layouts are compatible with standard Avery sizes (e.g. L7656®), and these templates may be used for designing your labels. Please note that our products are not manufactured by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Avery Dennison.

Design Tips

When designing your labels, avoid placing text or images too close to the edges of the label. Leaving a small margin will help prevent content from being cut off and will make the setup process easier and more reliable.

Digital Printing

For the best printing results, set your printer’s paper type to a thicker material setting (for example, Labels or Plain Paper Heavy). This adjusts the printer’s heat and print speed to suit label sheets.

In Microsoft Word, this setting can typically be found under:
Print → Properties → Paper Source → Paper Type

Whenever possible, use the manual or media bypass tray on your printer. This helps improve sheet feeding and increases print alignment accuracy.
